WOODBRIDGE, Conn. (WTNH) — Woodbridge Regional Animal Control is looking for the person or people who abandoned three female pit bulls on Monday.

The dogs were found in “extremely underweight” and weak condition on Woodfield Road in Woodbridge, animal control officials said. Some of them also had open sores.

Desmond’s Army Animal Law Advocates have been providing critical vet care to the dogs. Each dog got vet-checked Thursday and a warm bath, animal control officials said.

The Woodbridge Regional Animal Control asked anyone with information to contact them immediately. These dogs are not up for adoption as the investigation continues.
