DENVER (KDVR) — The University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado State University’s men’s basketball teams are set to compete in the NCAA March Madness tournament this year.

Both teams have a 24-10 record for the season. Neither team secured their conference title, but they won enough games throughout the season to make it into the tournament.

Both CU and CSU will have a play-in game before they are in the 64-team bracket.

Colorado is a No. 10 seed team, and the Buffs will play against Boise State, another No. 10 seed team, on Wednesday, March 20. If they win, they will go on to the bracket of 64 and play against Florida, a No. 7 seed team, in Indianapolis.

The last time the CU men’s basketball team made it to March Madness was in 2021. The Buffaloes beat Georgetown in the first round but fell to Florida State in the second round.

Colorado State will play Virginia in another No. 10 seed matchup on Tuesday, March 19. If the Rams win, they will go on to the 64-team bracket and play against Texas in Charlotte.

CSU previously made it to March Madness in 2022, but they were beaten by Michigan in the first round.

The times of the games have not yet been set as of Sunday afternoon.
