Underwater Garage in $70 Million Mansion Will Blow Your Mind

But this isn't about shaming those who flaunt their wealth or arguing on the ethics of doing it. As long as there are rich people, they will find new and expensive ways to show off. As everyone's grandma knows – and says – that's just how the world works.

This is about an example when a status symbol happens to be an auto enthusiast's wildest dream come true. This is the Kural Vista, a brand new property situated on Billionaire's Row on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE – not just an impressive, luxurious mansion but also quite possibly a collector's dream home thanks to its equally impressive custom garage.

Palm Jumeirah is an archipelago of artificial islands in the shape of a palm tree, and it's also the number one place for Dubai's elite. Put in much simpler words, if you think millionaires in the rest of the city are prone to luxury and decadence, they are tenfold so on Billionaire's Row. The Kural Vista is a good example of that.

This new mansion is new and massive, at 19,245 square feet (1,788 square meters) of total living space, spread over four levels. It has five bedrooms and nine bathrooms divided into two different wings connected by a walkway encased in glass, offering views of bonsai trees both inside the mansion's atrium and outside, on parts of the rooftop that double as floating gardens.

Luxury finishes include marble headboards in the main bedroom, all-marble bathrooms, and light fixtures that wouldn't be out of place in a contemporary art museum, together with designer furniture and custom décor pieces. The mansion is mind-blowing on its own, from the see-through piano in the atrium to the way in which each floor is dedicated to a single purpose. At $70 million the asking price, the future owner would expect nothing short of mind-blowing.

Speaking of which, there's the underwater garage. We've seen car-centric real estate before, including mansions with custom auto displays and auto galleries that would make actual museums feel poor by comparison. But the Kural Vista is in a league of its own, both because of the way in which the garage was built and the rare beauties they got together for the video tour below.

Real estate vlogger Enes Yilmazer got to tour the mansion with an assist from the broker holding the listing. Because appearances are everything in life, at least where premium real estate is concerned, the broker got Dubai-based dealership First Motors to fill the garage with a selection of the finest automobiles out there, to the tune of over $27 million. How's that for making a lasting first impression?

The entire underground floor in the mansion is the "entertainment area," including the garage. Situated below water level, it's actually a completely waterproof structure that took several months to build, styled as a customized space for the discerning car collector. As you can see in the video, it has everything from a wall of water going from one end to the other to an oversize skylight and actual works of art, custom lighting, and space for at least 14 collectibles.

The space is decked in marble, too. If you're going to show off to the world, you might as well start with the garage. The driveway leading from the main street into the garage is actually part of the entertainment area, featuring a curved wall of seamless panels of glass that allows people inside the adjacent lounge to watch the vehicles going down.

As for these, the video tour only works as a "what if" scenario. The beauties inside are not offered with the house, but they do help make the custom garage make an even more memorable first impression. We get a 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione, a 1-of-1 2002 Nissan Skyline R34 M-Spec, a 2021 Lamborghini Sian Roadster, a 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, a 2012 Pagani Huayra Carbon Edition, a 2015 Porsche 918 Martini Edition with the Weissach Package, and a 2022 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+.

The garage then spills into a lounge with a custom glass foosball table, a pool table, and a gorgeous backlit onyx bar that can double as a DJ booth. These spaces then spill into an indoor cinema and a spa-like area with a massage room and a shower. The entire underground level is the perfect man cave, with or without the beauties put there for not-so-obvious promotional purposes.

The rest of the mansion is just as jaw-dropping, if only for the large number of amenities available. They include another cinema up on the roof (on the third level that is the sky lounge), a large swimming pool on the ground floor and a glass-encased jacuzzi on the roof, a car simulator, a fully-equipped gym, and gorgeous, beautifully curated spaces that can open altogether to the extraordinary views at the press of a button.

Spending this much money on a house is incredible – and impossible for most mortals. And sure, a gorgeous custom garage built below the sea level won't make this display of wealth any less shameful. But there's no harm in looking and appreciating the beauty of it, is there?
