Richard Charles Hoskin OBITUARY

Richard (Rich) Charles Hoskin, loving husband, father and dog walker has left this rock and passed away from complications from a battle with dementia. Born in Oakland, California on October 7, 1947 to Charles and Marian Hoskin. He grew up in the Washington Manor neighborhood in San Leandro, California and graduated from San Lorenzo High in 1965. In 1967, he enlisted in the Army and served with Army Security Agency where he had a high crypto clearance. He served one tour in Vietnam.After he was discharged, he graduated from Chabot College with a degree in computer engineering. From there he went on to work in Silicon Valley for over 25 years. In 1994, he earned a BA in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College.In 1973, he married Madeline Hoskin and had two children, Kimberly (1975) and Scott Hoskin (1979). He has been a Livermore resident since 1978.He is survived by his late wife Madeline Hoskin of California, his two children Kimberly and Scott Hoskin of California, his in-laws Dr. Dick and Julie Halloran and John and Gail Sidvers of California. Lastly are crazy and lovable 12 year old black lab Windy, two old souls who were always together.In lew of flowers, please donate to a veteran charity.
