Frank S. Ciko Sr., age 86, died on February 24, 2024. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Frank served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 - 1962, during the Vietnam War. After the service, Frank moved to Woodbury where he opened Ciko's Diner which he operated from 1963-1978. Frank lived in Woodbury for many years. He moved to West Deptford where he raised his family, then Moorestown. Frank moved back to West Deptford five years ago. Frank was an entrepreneur and hard-working businessman. He owned and operated many different businesses in the South Jersey area all his life.
Frank enjoyed hunting. His faith was important to him, attending church every Sunday. Most of all, Frank loved his family. His greatest joy was being with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara A. (Romano), children Frank Ciko Jr., Teresa Ciko, Christopher Ciko, Donna (Richard) Scatchard, grandchildren Jason and Andrew Scatchard, Talia and Dominic Ciko, his sister Jeanne (Ernie) Pescatore, many cousins, nephews, his niece and his beloved dog Ceasar.
Friends may greet the family after 10am on Friday, March 1, 2024 in St. Margaret's Church (Infant Jesus Parish), 845 Third St, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097. Funeral mass will be at 11am.
