Minnesota Shoots Improved Second Round at Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The University of Minnesota women's golf team improved nine strokes between rounds one and two of the Mountain View Collegiate at The Preserve Golf Club.
Minnesota's two-round score of 595 (+19) has them remaining in 13th place after two days of play. The Gopher's round two was highlighted by senior Hailey Loh's even-par 72.
Texas A&M and South Florida sit on top of the leaderboard with a two-day total of 571 (-5).
Notable:
Isabella McCauley continues to lead the team individually tied for fifth place. The sophomore shot one-under-par in the final nine holes and has a two-round score of 68-73-141 (-3).
Graduate Grace Curran improved by three strokes between rounds one and two. Curran notched five birdies and nine pars in round two. She is tied for 47th place with a two-day score of 76-73-149 (+5).
Also improving by three strokes, graduate Megan Furtney has a two-day score of 78-75-153 (+9) and is tied for 66th place.
Loh added four birdies and 10 pars to her scorecard in round two. Loh improved by 10 strokes between rounds for a two-day score of 82-72-154 (+10).
Graduate Emma Carpenter tallied 12 pars in round two to finish with a two-day score of 80-80-160 (+16).

The Gophers will finish the Mountain View Collegiate on Sunday, March 17, with a shotgun start at 9:45 a.m. CT.
