A man was killed early Tuesday morning during a fight on Main Street in downtown El Cajon, according to reports from the scene.
El Cajon Police officers reportedly found a man in his 40s suffering a severe head wound. Firefighters began CPR, but the victim was declared dead.
The fight began around 3 a.m. and reportedly progressed along two blocks of West Main Street, ending in the 100 block.
The suspect is at large, but there was no immediate description.
Homicide Detectives are investigating the fatal incident.
