Auto-Pedestrian Collision Near Oxnard Boulevard Left 35-Year-Old Man Injured

OXNARD, CA (January 25, 2024) – Early Saturday evening, a man was sent to a hospital following a pedestrian crash on Wooley Road.

Police responded to the collision at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wooley Road and Oxnard Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found the man lying on the roadway, sustaining serious injuries.

According to the police, a westbound Chevrolet Avalanche struck the pedestrian for reasons yet to be determined.

Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to Centura County Medical Center, where he remained in an unspecified condition.

Meanwhile, the 48-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities do not suspect speed or impairment to be factors in the collision.
