“A car hauler was traveling too fast while attempting to enter I-5 southbound from Portal Way, causing it to tip over and slide across the Interstate in front of traffic when a van traveling south on I-5 struck the hauler,” Trooper Kelsey Harding, who serves as public information officer for WSP, stated on Twitter.

The driver of the van suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the car hauler reported no injuries.

I-5 traffic was backed up for several miles north of Ferndale.
