I believe therapy is a joint effort with the goal being to assist clients in attaining goals set for their treatment. My specializations include working with clients who suffer from issues related to anxiety, depressive symptoms, post-partum depression, grief, self-esteem/self-worth, substance use problems, work-related issues, relationship conflict, breakups/divorce, familial discord, and issues related to race, culture, gender, religion, and sexual orientation. My Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah in 2002.
My approach is strength-based, non-judgmental, culturally competent, flexible, outcome-oriented, and evidence-based. Past or current trauma is part of most symptoms, and I apply trauma-informed approaches to treatment. My goal is to help you develop a healthy perception of yourself, and ultimately live your best, most fulfilling life.
