Senior Brodie Freker hit a seventh-inning grand slam as Morris Knolls — No. 11 in the NJ.com Top 20 — knocked Sparta from the unbeaten ranks with a 9-5 road win. The Freker blast broke a five-all deadlock after Sparta scored twice in the bottom of the sixth.
Senior Luke Dickerson singled, doubled and rapped a solo home run for Morris Knolls. Dylan Fitzsimmons added three singles and scored three times as Knolls improved to 4-1.
