GODDARD, Kan. (KSNW) – The Dam Jam Music Festival, also known as the biggest lake party in Kansas, announced a new location for their musical festival on Monday.

Dam Jam will now take place at 1744 S. 183rd St. West in Goddard.

“This vibrant new setting promises a bright future for our festival. Goddard’s openness and enthusiastic support for our event shine as a testament to community resilience,” said Dam Jam in a news release.

In February, Sedgwick County commissioners denied the bid for Dam Jam to be held at Lake Afton this summer following multiple concerns being raised. The festival is expecting thousands of people, so finding a new location was a must.

“As someone who has spent my entire life in Sedgwick County, the necessity to relocate the show has been a particularly tough and challenging decision,” said CJ Wilson, the president of A Production Company LLC, which produces Dam Jam.

The City of Goddard approved the special event permit and sound waiver on Monday.

“The warm welcome and support from the Goddard community are truly exciting, and we’re looking forward to strengthening our ties with this vibrant community. We need all our fans and supporters to rally with us during this time,” continued Wilson.

According to Dam Jam’s website, the music festival is scheduled to take place July 19-20, 2024. Concertgoers can enjoy live music along with camping, a cornhole tournament, and a car show.

Performances include Brantley Gilbert, Stone Temple Pilot, JoDee Messina, Ryan Upchurch, Wheeler Walker Jr., and Demun Jones.
