Makaylah Riffle

According to a press release from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Kalei Britt, 22, and Makaylah Riffle, 28, were arrested on charges of theft by receiving and parole violation.

On April 9, the Arkansas Police Department provided a tip to BSCO, stating that the two suspects would be arriving at a specific residence at 4:00 p.m. with a stolen vehicle. They were provided with descriptions of Britt and Riffle and informed that the vehicle’s license plate would be falsified.

At 3:43 p.m., BCSO observed a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle that had been stolen earlier that week heading toward the residence. When deputies made contact with the vehicle, they were able to confirm the identity of the two occupants, Britt and Riffle. The vehicle was also confirmed to be stolen.

During the investigation, Riffle admitted to stealing the truck from a car lot in Rector, Arkansas. Britt admitted she knew the vehicle was stolen when Riffle picked her up.

Both women are booked in the Baxter County Detention Center with a bond of $75,000.

The press release also stated both women were suspects in a separate theft case involving antique currency being stolen from a residence where they stayed.
