Two-Vehicle Collision near Diener Drive Left 40-Year-Old Woman Dead

CLEARLAKE, CA (January 20, 2023) – Sunday evening, a head-on crash along Highway 29 left Lisa McCuan dead, and Dan Fallis injured.

The incident happened on January 15th, at 6:31 a.m., on Highway 29, near Diener Drive.

According to reports, McCuan was driving north, on Highway 29, in a Toyota SUV. There, the SUV collided head-on with a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Fallis. Investigators state that the Ram crossed over the double yellow lines from the southbound lanes into the northbound lane, causing the collision. The impact of the crash left four people with varying injuries.

First responders to the crash pronounced 40-year-old Lisa McCuan dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported 51-year-old Dan Fallis of Clearlake and 16-year-old Marrisa Humphries of Clearlake, who was a passenger in the Toyota, to Adventist Health Clear Lake Hospital for treatment of major injuries. The other passenger in the Toyota, 51-year-old Cliff Cutrell of Clearlake, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
