Vallejo police search for Easter sexual assault suspect

(KRON) — The Vallejo Police Department is searching for a man who broke into a business on Easter morning and sexually assaulted a woman who was there at the time.

The break-in happened at about 7:48 a.m. on the 500 block of Georgia Street. Police determined that the suspect had broken in, burglarized the business, restrained the victim and sexually assaulted her.

The victim did not know the suspect and is not connected to him in any way, police said. Police shared images of him (below).

VPD detectives are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the crimes.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Vallejo Police Department believes it is essential to inform the public that the suspect has not been identified and is currently at large. We are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect depicted in the attached photographs so that we can arrest him for these crimes,” police said.
