The Minutewomen pick up back-to-back Atlantic 10 wins.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis notched its second straight Atlantic 10 Conference victory with a 4-0 sweep over George Washington University on Sunday afternoon at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center.
 
The Minutewomen led, 1-0, after notching the doubles point. Mariana Campino and Renata Farima finished first at No. 3, defeating Alejandra Ramirez and Lindsay Thompson of George Washington, 6-1. Ella Faessler and Amelia Tye claimed the point for UMass with a 6-2 win over the Revolutionaries' Solange Skeene and Victoria Sasinka at No. 2 doubles.  
 
UMass carried its momentum into singles competition, winning three straight matches. Faessler completed her match first, taking down Sasinka of George Washington, 7-5, 6-2, at court No. 3. Thamonpan Jonglertrakul secured a point with a 6-0, 6-4 win over George Washington's Gabriela Giraldo at No. 2 singles, before Campino clinched the match with a 6-3, 7-5 triumph at No. 4 over Ramirez of the Revolutionaries.
 
Massachusetts splits the weekend with a match on the road against Bryant on Saturday, April 13, at 11:30 a.m., before hosting A-10 foe Fordham on Sunday, April 14, at 1 p.m.
