Spring breakers have long flocked to Lake Havasu City, home to “the West's biggest spring break party," to party and relax.

"No place on Earth throws a spring break party like Lake Havasu," according to Go Lake Havasu, the city's tourism group.

Lake Havasu City, located on the western border of Arizona and California, boasts of its warm beaches, boat rentals, parties, watersports and nightlife, which have made it a go-to destination for weary students and others who are looking to get away and unwind.

The city is known for its spring break parties, which have occasionally turned rowdy. MTV even did a special on the city's spring break parties in 1995.
