MaryAnn Marino OBITUARY

MaryAnn (Arthur) Marino, 81, of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 7, 2024, surrounded by her three daughters. She was the cherished daughter of Marguerite Arentz Arthur and the beloved wife of Anthony F. Marino. MaryAnn was born in Reading in 1942 and graduated from Central Catholic High School. Her academic pursuits led her to attain a degree in Accounting from Alvernia College in 1988. In 1962, MaryAnn met Anthony Marino of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whom she subsequently married. Their union spanned 53 years, during which they traversed 42 countries, indulged in friendly games of pinochle and dominoes on Friday nights with close companions, and created cherished family memories at their Avalon, New Jersey home during summers. MaryAnn was deeply engaged in her community, serving as a dedicated member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish club, where she held the position of President for multiple terms and later joined their 50+ club. Fond recollections include Friday night bingo, Christmas bazaars, and June fair planning alongside her peers. As an active participant in the Women’s Club of Exeter Township, MaryAnn took pride in initiating their Christmas House Tour, which recently commemorated its 25th anniversary, featuring her own home among the tour stops. MaryAnn’s passions extended beyond community involvement; she found joy in Christmas festivities and cooking. Renowned for her Christmas cookies, which encompassed over 20 varieties, she often baked more than 2,000 cookies, contributing them to charity auctions or exchanging them for Christmas wreaths, pierogies, and affectionate kisses from her grandchildren. For 25 years, MaryAnn dedicated herself to H&R Block as a Master Tax Preparer and Enrolled Agent. She adored her work and cherished the relationships she cultivated with her clients over the years. MaryAnn Marino will be remembered not only for her remarkable contributions to her community and her devotion to family but also for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those she loved and served.
