Christmas may be a few months away, but there’s no time like the present to get in the holiday spirit. Even before December rolls around, who doesn’t enjoy putting on a terribly cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie from time to time? (Just me?) But today the trailer just dropped for the upcoming movie Last Christmas, and it doesn’t look half bad—in fact it looks pretty damn good. Guilty pleasure? No need; it’s more like pure pleasure, as it stars Game of Thrones’s Emilia Clarke and Crazy Rich Asians’s Henry Golding. A match made in North Pole heaven.
Clarke who plays a wine-guzzling employee at a holiday shop who’s suffering from a life-threatening illness. Then she meets the heartthrob Golding, who encourages her to find her inner holiday spirit. Melting yet? It gets better: The film also costars Michelle Yeoh—who at one point in the trailer throws an ornament at Clarke’s head!—and Emma Thompson, who stars as Clarke’s concerned mother. Ho, ho, ho—this movie teaser is the best early Christmas present one could receive in the summer!
