YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Crews with the Youngstown Fire Department were fighting a house engulfed in flames not far from the north end of Mill Creek MetroParks late Thursday evening.

A house on Orange Avenue has been heavily damaged after a fire broke out in the home.

Two kids, ages 10 and 16, were home when the fire started, though it’s not clear if they were alone at time. They were taken to the hospital, but their condition isn’t known.

The mother of the children arrived home shortly after.

Firefighters say the cause of the blaze is under investigation, but the house appears to be a total loss.
