Samsung Electronics has released 512GB versions of its BAR Plus and FIT Plus USB 3.2 Gen1 Flash Drives, priced at $79.99. These drives offer read speeds up to 400 MB/s and write speeds up to 110 MB/s, allowing users to transfer a 3GB 4K UHD video to a computer in just 10 seconds.
The drives are compatible with devices that have USB 3.1 ports and are also backward compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0. The BAR Plus model features a metal body with an integrated key ring, making it suitable for on-the-go use with laptops and tablets. The FIT Plus model is designed to be compact and discreet, ideal for continuous connection to devices without being obtrusive.
Samsung’s flash drives are built for durability with five-proof protection against water, extreme temperatures, x-rays, drops, and magnetic impacts, safeguarding data in various conditions.
Compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, these USB flash drives are versatile for use across different devices, including laptops, tablets, TVs, car audio systems, and gaming consoles. They come with a five-year limited warranty.
In addition to the BAR Plus and FIT Plus models, Samsung has announced it will release a USB Type-C 512GB flash drive later this year, expanding its offerings in the high-capacity portable storage market.
