Hot slaw is a mix of mustard, vinegar and hot pepper that was created by a food stand in Cleveland.

Long time just a staple of Bradley County, it has now gained international attention, including being named an official state food of Tennessee.

Melissa Woody of the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce said, “It’s all about the arts, but mixed in with this unique aspect that only can be found in Cleveland, Tennessee.”

The festival is free to attend and is located in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, and last year attracted about 7,000 people.
