Pedestrian-Auto Collision near Clayton Road Left 38-Year-Old Pleasant Hill Woman Dead

CONCORD, CA (June 23, 2023) – A pedestrian crash on Highway 242 near Concord claimed the life of Aniesha Dotson. Contra Costa CHP Officers responded to the incident around 11:30 p.m. along southbound 242, south of Clayton Road. According to the police, a southbound Lexus IS-250 hit a woman that happened to be in the traffic lanes of the freeway. Unfortunately, the female pedestrian sustained major injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, a passenger inside the Lexus received minor injuries. Later, the Contra Costa County coroner’s office identified the deceased woman as 38-year-old Aniesha Dotson of Pleasant Hill. Authorities continue to investigate why Dotson was in the roadway. The California Highway Patrol is asking anyone with additional information about the crash to contact their Contra Costa office in Martinez at 925-646-4980.
