Patient critically injured after mower flips in Galax

GALAX, Va. (WFXR)– A patient was critically injured after a lawnmower flipped onto them in Galax on Friday, April 12.

According to the Galax Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 4:37 p.m. to the 200-block of Knollwood Lane. Crews arrived and found a subject pinned under a lawnmower that had flipped.

Units were able to remove the subject under the mower and began life-saving measures and the patient was then taken to Twin County Regional Hospital.

There is no update on their status at this time.
