Cigna Health and Life Insurance, Shaw Industries Group and Kane Hospitality were hit with a personal injury lawsuit on March 20 in Ohio Court of Common Pleas for Butler County. The court action was brought by O'Connor, Acciani & Levy on behalf of Brian Laverd, who contends that he sustained injuries when he fell in the shower due to a negligently installed grab-bar. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is CV 2024 03 0579, Laverd, Brian vs. Kane Hospitality LLC, D/B/A Aloft West Chester et al Powers.
