Belize Weather: Late season cold front brings showers for weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A weak cold front to the north of the country is supporting relatively moist conditions. Over the next 24 hours, according to the National Meteorological Service, skies will be cloudy with sunny breaks today and partly cloudy to cloudy tonight. A few showers will linger mostly offshore and along the coast this morning, becoming isolated by this afternoon. Then, a few showers will redevelop along the coast and over some southern and central areas tonight.

Average high temperatures forecast today will be 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 90 degrees in inland areas, and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 76 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland, and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northerly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots, and sea state is choppy.

Tides will be high at 11:57 this morning and low at 7:42 this evening.

The sun sets at 6:08 this evening and rises at 5:37 on Saturday morning.

A few showers or light rain will affect most places on Saturday. Then, activity will decrease and become isolated over most places with a few more lingering over the south on Saturday night.
