Jeb’s clients include those most in need of help.  His firm won the settlements of $45 million and $30 million for families who had to provide 24-hour-per-day, 7-day-per-week care to children who had suffered lifelong debilitating injuries.  He has represented victims who suffered decades of sexual abuse. 

Jeb’s cases have affected life outside the courtroom.  No major American automaker uses rear-mounted gas tanks anymore.  The cases handled by Jeb and his firm have changed the way that certain police departments conduct high-speed chases, the way guardrails are maintained in Atlanta, the way that lockout-tagout processes are conducted in certain industrial facilities, and the way that a psychiatric hospital chain cares for patients at risk of suicide. 

Every year for the past six years, Jeb and his firm have donated $100,000 with the goal of maximizing the human good per dollar donated.  This year, Jeb and two friends launched a project called “Smart Giving” that aims to spread the idea of thoughtful philanthropy and effective altruism among lawyers.
