OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Officials with Eglin Air Force Base announced an upcoming road closure will be in place during a test.

According to a press release, the 96th Test Wing is preparing to conduct a test on the Eglin range complex on Friday, March 29. During the test, Highways 85 and 285, and State Roads 293 and 123 will be closed for 90 minutes between 9 a.m. and noon.

The Eglin range complex allows for the 96th Test Wing — a test and evaluation center for the Air Force — to conduct training and test exercises including gun performance, minefield testing, air-to-ground munitions testing, and more, per Eglin AFB’s customer guide 2021 report.
