MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (KFOR) – The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics arrested a man on Thursday on multiple charges in connection to an undercover investigation.

The arrest was made as part of an investigation by members of OBN’s Human Trafficking Unit.

“During this case, agents working undercover on commercial sex web sites made contact with females featured in ads and arranged to meet them at agreed upon locations. Upon arrival, these females are arrested and interviewed. The interview and cell phone messages in this case determined she was a victim of Human Trafficking.” said OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward.

According to OBN, agents found 35-year-old Jarvis Dean and arrested him on multiple charges including Human Trafficking, Procuring for Prostitution, Possession of a Firearm After Felony Conviction and Use of Computer to Violate State Statutes.

“I am proud of the tireless work by our Human Trafficking Unit to apprehend this trafficker and rescue the victim in this case. We will continue to aggressively track down those who prey on victims and who use fear and violence to exploit vulnerable people for the sake of financial gain.” said OBN Director Donnie Anderson.

Anderson says the agency is focused on protecting those targeted in these situations.
