On March 30th, Hefei city in Anhui Province hosted the 16th Baiyun Chunhao Tea Culture Tourism Season in 2024 and the Foreign nationals' Lujiang Tea Culture Experience Tour, inviting over 30 foreign nationals from eight countries including Germany, Sweden, and Canada.

That morning, the foreign guests visited Changchong Village in Wanshan Town, Lujiang County, to learn about the local customs, participating in a tree-planting activity. Afterwards, they went to the Baiyun Chunhao Tea Research and Study Base in Tangchi Town to discover the history of the tea factory, participate in tea leaf picking, and observe the tea-making process.

This event allowed many foreign nationals in Hefei to not only appreciate the unique Chinese tea culture but also to immerse themselves in the achievements of Hefei's rural revitalization and experience a poetic and picturesque cultural and tourism lifestyle. The series of distinctive tea culture activities received unanimous praise from the foreign participants. "Hefei is really nice, Lujiang is beautiful, and today I also experienced the unique tea culture," said one Indonesian foreign teacher from the School of Foreign Studies at Hefei University of Technology. Having worked in Hefei for over half a year since moving from Beijing, he was deeply impressed by the local culture and expressed his intention to introduce Hefei's famous attractions and historical culture to his friends back home.

In recent years, the number of foreign nationals working and living in Hefei has been increasing. This tea culture experience tour fully showcased Hefei's openness and inclusiveness, enhancing the understanding of rural revitalization, cultural tourism development, and traditional Chinese culture among foreign nationals in Hefei, as well as improving their recognition and identification with the city.
