Sanford Center to offer free hands-only CPR training April 11

Apr. 7—BEMIDJI — The Bemidji Sanford Center is partnering with Lorton Safety Training to host a hands-only CPR training from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, at the center, 1111 Event Center Drive NE.

This is a free educational course for the public to learn a life-saving skill. By learning hands-only CPR, you could double or triple a victim's chance of survival, a release said.

Six 30-minute time slots are available to take the course during the event. Walk-ins are welcomed, but registration is recommended as there is a 20-person limit per class.

"An educated community is a safer community," stated Bobby Anderson, general manager of The Sanford Center, in the release. "We are so excited to partner with Lorton Safety Training to bring this amazing opportunity to our community."
