I have private practice dedicated to working with people to help them identify, clarify and resolve their issues. Adolescents through adults are treated. I also provide services to veterans and do divorce mediation. Most insurances are accepted. Appointments are available in 2-3 business days.

I have been providing therapy for children (age 5 and up), adolescents and adults since 2000 in a variety of therapeutic settings. Mark Cowan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over 25 years' experience providing Clinical Social Work. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Psychology from Iowa State University and received his Master's in Social Work form the University of Iowa. Mark has worked with individuals, children/adolescents and families throughout his career. Specialties include family conflict, trauma, adolescent work, depression/anxiety, relationship difficulties, sexual issues and men's issues.

Trained in psychotherapy and QEEG brain mapping and neurofeedback. I can treat a host of disorders using QEEG brain mapping, neurofeedback and neurostimulation such as depression, anxiety, ptsd, OCD, ODD, Adhd, autism, and many more. I am working towards my BCN (Board Certified Neurofeedback) currently through the BCIA. Neurostimulation and neuromodulation show the brain how to behave, which quickly alleviates symptoms of mental health disorders. Both online and in person appointments available.

I have helped many with relational issues, be it couples, parents and children of all ages. Unfortunately, I am no longer working with children under the age of 16 years. Many come to me with stresses of life, work, and personal, and traumas of all sorts that creates high anxiety and depression. I believe anyone who desires it can benefit from therapy and have appreciated working with adults and adolescents on their outpatient therapy journeys for many years. My focus on creating a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment allows my clients to engage in the therapy experience and make progress toward their goals. I enjoy being active, especially when I can do so outside. When I am not working, I am typically enjoying time with family.
