Iowa State football has added a homegrown talent to its 2025 recruiting class.

Jack Limbaugh, a 3-star edge rusher from Algona High School, announced his commitment to the Cyclones on Saturday.

The 6-foot-4-inch, 220-pound junior is the No. 6-ranked prospect in Iowa, the No. 40-ranked edge rusher in the country and the No. 862-ranked prospect in the country, according to 247Sports.com.

He was the No. 8 player in the Des Moines Register’s rankings of the junior class, released in December.

According to 247Sports, Limbaugh also had offers from Northwestern, Duke, Iowa and Kansas. He has previously been a Class 3A Second Team All-State and two-time All-District honoree.

Limbaugh's commitment is the fourth for Iowa State in its 2025 class, which includes three in-state additions and two from Algona, along with quarterback Alex Manske. Limbaugh is also the second edge position in the class, joining Ohio commit Trey Verdon.
