Florence L. Fowler OBITUARY

Florence L. Fowler died peacefully at home on February 20, 2024. She was 91.Born June 3, 1932 in Berkeley, CA to William Berridge and Frances LaVerne Ludlow, Florence had one sibling, the late Lt. William B. Ludlow, Jr.Florence completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. She later earned a master’s degree from San Francisco State University. After raising a family with her former husband, the late Rev. Richard P. Fowler, Florence worked as a librarian at San Francisco University High School and Shriners Hospital. Florence is survived by her children Kathryn Fowler (Laine Wallace), Richard Fowler (Will Sprietsma), and Elisabeth Kenneally (Stephen), grandsons Ian and Nicholas Kenneally, several godchildren, and dear friends.Florence’s generous and curious spirit, artistry, and grace will be missed by all who knew her.Per Florence’s wishes, a memorial service and interment will be private.
