37-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Encinitas Boulevard

ENCINITAS, CA (November 21, 2023) – One man died Wednesday night in a pedestrian crash on El Camino Real near Encinitas Boulevard. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m., at the 200 block of North El Camino Real. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after. According to reports, the driver of a northbound Hyundai Santa Fe SUV hit a male pedestrian who was running across the road in an easterly direction. Medical personnel arrived and despite life-saving efforts, later pronounced him dead after he was taken to a nearby hospital.
