LICKING, Mo. — A jury trial has been scheduled for a Texas County man who allegedly shot at a family riding in a buggy back in 2021.

A probable cause statement says Wade fired a scoped rifle at a man and his two children in a buggy as they left their home in rural Texas County.

Wade admitted to Texas County deputies he was trying to shoot the father and children, and said he believed the man and his family were conspiring to kill him. Court documents state Wade also told deputies he believed the buggy wheels were weapons.
