JACKSON, MI -- Spurred in part by residents’ concerns over the high cost of street maintenance, the Jackson City Council is looking at alternative ways to repair city streets.

Multiple Jackson property owners have voiced opposition to special assessments - an additional tax to them - being used as a funding method for road reconstruction projects, including the proposed redesign of the Lansing Avenue Corridor.
