The global real estate brokerage The Agency opened a new Steamboat Springs office this month after joining forces with longtime local Realtor Chris Paoli to expand its offerings in Colorado.

“We are thrilled to be opening our fifth office in Colorado in the coveted ski town of Steamboat Springs,” said Mauricio Umansky, CEO and founder of The Agency. “With its booming real estate market fueled by demand from both local residents and affluent visitors drawn to its year-round recreational opportunities, Steamboat Springs presents an ideal market for The Agency to expand its presence. There has been an incredible surge in development and significant investment pouring into the area, and we’re honored to be joining this community as Steamboat Spring’s profile continues to rise.”

The Agency Steamboat Springs joins the brokerage’s growing network of offices across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe. The office is the brokerage’s fifth in Colorado and will be led by an industry veteran with Paoli serving as managing partner.

The Agency also has offices in Denver, Aspen, Telluride and Boulder.

“We have found a fantastic partner in Chris Paoli, a trusted local expert who we know will represent The Agency well as we continue to introduce our brand to sought-after destinations around the globe,” Umansky said.

Paoli said he is excited to be aligning with a luxury brand that has an international presence. He said The Agency Steamboat, located at 1724 Ski Time Square Drive, Unit C-7, will work with all property owners, but when they have a more exclusive property, this platform will allow his team to introduce the property to an international audience.

The Agency has rapidly increased its presence across the globe throughout the past year, making it one of the fastest-growing luxury boutique brokerages in the world. The Agency’s independently owned brokerages are referred to and integrated as true global partners. Every managing partner, from both corporate or independently owned offices, operates as one network, allowing partners to enjoy the same access to leadership, marketing, public relations, training, tools and technology as the brokerage’s corporate offices.

The Agency launched 12 new offices in the first quarter of 2024 with more on the horizon.

“Our offices in Colorado are thriving, and we are confident our new Steamboat Springs office will be no exception as we continue to paint the region Agency red,” said Jim Ramsay, executive vice president of franchise sales at The Agency, in a statement. “Known for its world-class skiing, family-friendly atmosphere and local charm, we are looking forward to expanding our brand into this flourishing market.”

The Agency’s brand has been featured on television shows including “Buying Beverly Hills,” which debuted on Netflix in 2022 with its second season currently streaming, and The Agency has grown to include more than 100 corporately owned and franchise offices across the globe.

“We definitely feel like this is a brand that helps us offer that extra exposure for those properties and they definitely have a network with a ton of social media presence and there’s a reality TV show that — good, bad or ugly — definitely puts eyeballs on the phone,” Paoli said. “The biggest thing is we have a pretty well connected network of brokerages throughout the country and around the world, and that is something that we didn’t have before.”
