Rose K. Conti OBITUARY

Rose K. Conti, age 88, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Arborview Assisted Living.

Rose was born on September 21, 1935, in Chicago, IL to Matthew and Mary (Bozich) Kapovich. She graduated from Western Illinois University and then received her PhD from Purdue University. Rose started her career as a Home Economics teacher and finished as the principal at Christ the King School in Madisonville, Kentucky.

Rose enjoyed traveling with her husband, Fred. She also loved attending social events and spending time with her family.

Rose is survived by her son, Joe (Cheryl) Conti; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Cody) Smith and Joe (Emma) Conti; great-grandchildren, Cassian Smith, Fred and Ben Conti; and siblings, Marianne Murray, John (Simone) Kapovich, and Elizabeth Kapovich. She is preceded in death by husband, Frederick Conti who passed on August 19th of 2022; and daughter, Mary Rose Conti.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Our Lady St. Germaine, 9711 South Kolin Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sharon, PA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rose’s name to Dementia Society of America.
