Main Street is hosting the Hometown Spring Festival in downtown Gray April 13 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., with music until 9 p.m. to welcome in the blossoming season.

Ashley Roberson, Main Street Gray Director, said she’s excited for the Hometown Spring Festival this year. She said Cadence Bank is the presenting sponsor for the event, and Cadence Bank, Morris Bank, Allure Beauty Bar of Gray, and 1st Choice Heating and Air are the Main Street Diamond Sponsors. She said the event will be lots of fun.

“The Hometown Spring Festival is a great way to bring people into our downtown area,” she said. “We have all of these great local businesses here people can shop at. These events are great exposure for what we have here in Gray.”

She said there will be arts and crafts and food trucks on the street during the festival. West Clinton Street will be shut down from the railroad tracks to the courthouse. She said there will be inflatables by Butler Hall for the children, and some other children’s activities such as face paintings.

“I’m excited to see the event grow. We have a lot of returning vendors, but this year we have even more. There will be vendors selling baked goods, t-shirts, tumblers, boutique clothes, homemade organic dog treats, decor, local honey, and more. There will be a good variety for everyone,” Roberson said.

The director said Music Medix will be performing music from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Misa Lowe & Ace Harlem will be performing from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., then Dallas Rodgers will be performing from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. She said concert admission is $5 beginning at 3 p.m. There will be beer and wine starting at 4 p.m.

Roberson said her favorite thing about the Hometown Spring Festival is seeing all of the vendors. She likes the decor some of the vendors will have available. She said there are things people can’t buy in a store, and it provides different options. She can’t wait to see everyone at the event.

“I think people will have a lot of fun at the festival. There is something for everyone to do,” the director said. “The kids get to have fun, then the parents can stay for the concert later. There will be a lot going on, and people should come check it out. It’ll be a fun day for shopping, music and good food.
