MotoGP KTM Tech3 – Extraordinary race for rookie Pedro Acosta in Austin, scene of the third race of the 2024 MotoGP.

The KTM Team GASGAS Tech3 rider, already world champion in Moto3 and Moto2, was the author of breathtaking overtakings made without any awe over the big names in MotoGP. In the end he achieved a splendid second place, second consecutive podium, the youngest driver to do so.

Acosta is also the first rider of his age (Mazarrón, 25 May 2004) to lead a MotoGP race. Here's what he said to the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP.

Statements Pedro Acosta Gp Austin MotoGP 2024

“Today I had fun like a child, I haven't had this much fun since Moto3, even though I finished second. Fire race! Yesterday I made a disaster with the rear tire, when Jorge (Martin) passed me in 11th, the tire was finished. Today we tested the medium and I thank the team because they had more confidence than me, they worked like crazy to have a weekend like this. Brad (Binder) is the point of reference, all the information from the tests from Pol (Espargarò) and Dani (Pedrosa) are very important. In fact, this weekend in the Sprint we improved thanks also to their work. My favorite circuit? Portimao, Australia and Mugello but we don't have a date for the first victory, because it only brings pressure."
