Thomas L. Fox OBITUARY

Thomas L. Fox was born on March 12, 1930, in Julesburg, Colorado, to Helen and Roy Fox, the 7th of nine children.He graduated from Sedgwick County High School in 1948, and in July of 1950 he was united in marriage to Margie Pursel of Julesburg.During the Korean Conflict, Tom joined the U.S. Navy where he served for four years. While in the Navy, Margie and Tom were blessed with two children, Barbara Lynn and Thomas Louis II.After his discharge from the Navy in 1955, the family settled in Southern California, where he was employed by Hughes Aircraft Company and attended UCLA Engineering School. In 1961 he graduated from UCLA with a degree in Electronic Engineering.He continued living in southern California working in the Aerospace Industry for the next 33 years and retired as Vice President of Litton Aero Products division in 1994.After his retirement, Tom and Margie spent 6 years in Cayucos, CA and the next 10 years in Maui, HI before returning to California where they settled in Dana Point.He is survived by his wife Margie of 73 years in Dana Point, CA, Daughter Barbara Stoner of Laguna Hills, CA, Son Tom of Sherman Oaks, CA, and two Grandsons Matt and Tommy Stoner of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and two brothers.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Tom’s memory. Tom’s immediate family will hold a personal memorial service among themselves. They request that everyone honor his memory and the impact he had in their lives in their own personal way.
