Harrowing video shows Texas cops shoot gunman who opened fire at crowded festival

Shocking video shows the moment cops opened fire on two men who started a gunfight with each other at a crowded festival in San Antonio.

The footage shows people enjoying the final day of the Fiesta San Antonio at Market Square when shouts and gunfire can be heard.

Two men were killed in the shootout, and four civilians were wounded, according to police.

The crowds could be heard screaming in horror and running away as gunshots rang out before coming to a halt seconds later after one gunman downed the other before police apparently shot the remaining armed assailant.

“Oh my god!” one woman is heard screaming in the aftermath.

San Antonio police said the shooting occurred near the stage on Conch Alley, where an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old fired at each other, the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Police were chasing the teenager when one of his shots hit the 20-year-old, downing the man and triggering police to open fire at him.

The teenager was killed at the scene, with the other gunman dying at a local hospital, San Antonio Police added.

The shootout left four people injured with non-life threatening injuries, with a 36-year-old and a 29-year-old woman transported to a hospital and two other young women released at the scene, officials said.

It remains unclear if those injured in the shootout were struck by the suspects’ gunfire or by police.

Officers have recovered the two handguns used by the gunmen during the shooting and are investigating the incident.

SAPD did not comment on a possible motive for the shooting.

The department did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for more information.
