The former pastor of a Dothan church was arrested Friday on allegations he stole nearly $50,000 from the church and its preschool.
Darryl Roberts, who used to be a pastor at Greater Beulah Baptist Church, allegedly committed the theft between April 2022 and February 2023, Dothan police told WTVY.
Roberts allegedly stole $48,000 from Greater Beulah and the church-run Beulahland Academy.
Roberts left the church by the end of 2023, when church members filed a lawsuit seeking his removal, WTVY reported.
