Authorities are trying to identify a man who they say significantly, and intentionally, underpaid for two comic books at an Opelika store.

Police launched a theft investigation following the March 21 incident at Almost Anything which is located at 221 South Ninth Street in Opelika.

The suspect, police said, entered the store about 1:30 p.m. and bought two comic books.

While conducting inventory, the business discovered the suspect had swapped pricing and underpaid approximately $600 for the two comic books.

The suspect is seen on surveillance video wearing a dark hat, black jacket, and red polo shirt. Authorities released the surveillance video on Wednesday.
