PA Coronavirus Death Toll Rises To 48

Nearly 700 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed Monday in Pennsylvania, and the death toll rose to 48.

HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania health officials said Monday there have been 693 new cases of the new coronavirus, bringing the state total to 4,087 in 59 counties. Eleven additional deaths were also confirmed Monday, bringing Pennsylvania's coronavirus death toll to 48.

In response to the public health crisis, Gov. Tom Wolf last week ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania close their physical locations. Enforcement is underway.

A stay-at-home order is in place in 22 Pennsylvania counties as of Monday.
