If you're an Elliot Page fan, you'll no doubt be proud of the journey he has been on from his Oscar-nominated breakout role in Juno to blockbuster parts in X-Men to, now, living his most authentic life after coming out as trans in December 202o. Since then, he's continued to advocate for LGTBQIA+ rights and returned to his starring role in Netflix's The Umbrella Academy, where his character's plotline for season 3 was rewritten to involve a coming out story that mirrored Elliot's own.
Sadly, however, his three-year-long marriage to choreographer Emma Portner came to an end in early 2021 and, since then, despite his busy career, there has been little news from Elliot's love life. Now the 35-year-old actor and producer seems to have broken his silence, signalling that he is ready to get back on the dating market with an Instagram Story.
As first spotted by Entertainment Tonight, Elliot Page gave an update on his love life to his six million followers – and one of his The Umbrella Academy co-stars seems to be involved in an unexpected way.
Specifically, he shared a picture of him and actress Ritu Arya, who plays Lila Pitts in the series, reclining on a bed together with their backs to the camera. The two friends seem to be huddled over something, presumably Elliot's phone, and a caption reads "@ritaaryu guiding me on my first dating app ever".
It definitely seems like Elliot is ready to move on and find a new love in his life, congrats to him! We're struggling to believe he's never been on a dating app ever before though...we thought all celebs automatically had a Raya account?! Now that he's finally taken the plunge, it's hard not to wonder what his dating app of choice is: Bumble? Tinder? Thursday?
Only time will tell, but good luck to him on his search for a new flame.
