This Credit Card Can Help You Establish Or Repair Your Credit

You can break the cycle and establish first-time credit with one of these cards.

GREENSBORO, North Carolina — We told you about UltraFICO - a way for people with poor credit or no credit to build their credit score. But secured credit cards promise to do the same thing.

Most banks offer secured credit cards that require a security deposit when you open them. The deposit serves as your credit limit - it assures lenders they'll get their money back if you can't pay.

Bank of America's secured credit card can be up to $4,900. It has no annual fee and the bank says some customers might qualify to get their security deposit back. 

BB&T's Bright secured credit card has a $19 annual fee but boasts a low interest rate. 

Wells Fargo's secured credit card has the highest annual fee of $25, but you'll get your deposit back within 30 days of upgrading your card.
