Lekkerland relies on RELEX software in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands

"Maximum flexibility in scheduling production of convenience goods"

Convenience specialist Lekkerland is opting for RELEX Solutions' software for sales forecasts (including weather-based forecasts), automatic scheduling and freshness optimisation. The company's customers, based in Frechen, North Rhine-Westphalia, include petrol station shops, kiosks, convenience stores, bakeries, food retailers and quick service restaurants.

The software solution is designed to help adapt Lekkerland's supply chain management to the expected growth in on-the-go consumption overall and in the demand for fresh and ultra-fresh items. Lekkerland will deploy the system in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Relex's industry software will be used immediately at Lekkerland's production sites.

With on-the-go consumption, the company serves a very dynamic economic segment. Lekkerland offers innovative services, tailor-made logistics and a wide wholesale range in five European countries. A variety of factors continuously influence customer demand and the need for goods. Against this background, Lekkerland hopes that RELEX will provide customised support and maximum flexibility in scheduling.

Optimal order suggestions
The RELEX software provides dispatchers with economically optimal order proposals. Thanks to the RELEX approach of "configuring instead of programming", retailers can define and adapt rules entirely according to business requirements. This gives them full control over their processes and improved adaptability and agility.

"In order to optimally serve the needs and requirements of our customers, we need a flexible system that can be adapted to changing requirements at any time. That was the reason we chose RELEX," says Dirk Klein-Hietpas, responsible for logistics and supply chain at Lekkerland.

"We are very pleased to welcome Lekkerland as a customer and to contribute with our system to the convenience specialist being able to optimally serve the requirements of its customers and consumers," says Michael Hoffmann, Managing Director DACH at RELEX.
