Dropping temperatures can mean more annoying flyaway hairs.

Fortunately, you don’t have to let the weather cramp your style anymore. In The Know’s Lisa Azcona has got three easy ways to ditch the frizz and keep hair looking sleek throughout the day.

“Flyaway hairs tend to stick out more in colder temperatures since there’s a lack of moisture in the air,” Lisa explained. “And all those layers you wear like hats, coats and scarves certainly don’t help either.”

To up the ante a bit, Lisa rubbed a balloon on her hair to make it extra frizzy for each method.

Method 1: Dryer Sheets

“So the first one honestly seems a bit silly but all you need to do is grab a dryer sheet and press it onto your hairbrush,” Lisa said. “Then run your brush through your hair like you normally would. It might even give your hair a nice scent too.”

Lisa punctured a sheet of Bounce Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets for Static Control with the brush. As she combed through her lengthy locks, the dryer sheet smoothed down any frizz.

Method 2: Hair spray and a Toothbrush

This next hack requires hair spray, like L’Oreal Paris Advanced Lock It Bold Control and a toothbrush.

“The toothbrush is a great tool,” Lisa said. “It helps you evenly distribute the hair spray so you won’t have to load so much product onto your hair.”

Her hair looks manicured, without being weighed down, after using this quick hack.

Method 3: Clear Mascara

Lisa’s personal favorite trick to tame flyaways is Maybelline Great Lash Washable Mascara in clear.

“You can gently run a thin layer onto the top of your head. The liquid formula will work to put those flyaways to rest,” Lisa said. “The mascara wand kind of works like a little comb too.”

This one works like a charm, not only is Lisa’s hair tamed but it has a nice glossy sheen to it.

“What I love the most about all three of these hacks is you can take them on the go with you so you can keep your hair polished and under control at all times,” Lisa added.
